Tubal Surgery

Tubal surgery includes surgical procedures performed to diagnose or treat conditions affecting the fallopian tubes. Healthy fallopian tubes play an important role in natural conception by allowing the egg and sperm to meet and supporting the fertilized egg's passage towards the uterus.

Tubal problems may develop due to previous pelvic infections, endometriosis, adhesions, hydrosalpinx, previous surgery, or ectopic pregnancy. Depending on the condition, women may experience infertility or pelvic pain, although some tubal abnormalities cause no noticeable symptoms.

Evaluation may include ultrasound, hysterosalpingography (HSG), and diagnostic laparoscopy when clinically indicated.

Treatment is individualized according to the type and extent of tubal damage, symptoms, age, fertility goals, and overall reproductive health. Minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques may be used to remove adhesions, treat selected tubal blockages, manage hydrosalpinx, or address other tubal abnormalities.
